Watched this on Wednesday!! =] I really enjoyed it but there were some moments that disappointed me.

Quickie Review: 7.5/10

There was a lot of action - great action scenes! - , great connections between characters towards the end. Great cinematograhy and music also! Yamada was by far the superior actor. I wanted so hard to love this film but at least two major negatvies brought it down to a 7.5. For example: Toma's performance and character was disappointing.

( A lot of info below - beware heavy spoilers ) )

They also showed the trailer for Pink and Grey on Wednesday and it definitely wasn't the type of story I was expecting but it look really good! So I need my momma to send me my book asap so I can read it!! xD

Have you seen this? Will you watch it?

Not gunna lie, minus the anime, I watched all these in the past 3 days! Becareful for SPOILERS and don't forget my massive 14 part review that I did last time, here. All my other 'Last Things' can be found under this tag.

( Some beautiful Nijiro caps btw ) )

---

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed those reviews xD I do apologise for the language. I think I'm gunna try and do a non-swearing review next time as a challenge xD I am now going to go and watch Assassination Classroom and Kabukichou Love Hotel I think now. it's only 8pm and on my day off so I can easily fit in two movies right! ^_^

Have you seen any these? Want to see? What did you think? Any recommendations?

So I've been wanting to watch these doramas recently but dunno where to start to hoping you guys can pitch in....

BUT before we begin: Tbscreenrider don't you DARE start mentioning Nijiro's stuff! His stuff is already on my official 'must watch asap' list and not this list which is 'thinking of watching' COMPLETELY different list xP I'm especially interested in watching 'Why Don't You Play In Hell?' first of his...

These are two I've been meaning to watch for a LONG time and STILL not gotten around to them!

Library Wars (futuristics, I think libraries are bad in this future) and Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro (comedy, fantasy, nice to see Yamada do comedy).

And then there is the massive amount of Suda Masaki that turns out I haven't seen!!! o_O

Soko no mi ni te hikaru teraku, Akegarasu, Chocolietta, Hidamari no Kanojo, The Backwater, The Boy Inside, and Assassination Classroom

I met with my friend yesterday and she seriously recommended these films to me too...

Pacchiri:
Romeo, A.K.A. Kosuke Matsuyama, is a second-year high school student. A nice, normal, nonviolent type, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of a rampaging crowd of Korean boys, outraged by insults perpetrated by several of his idiotic class-mates on two Korean girls. He makes a narrow escape, but soon after, he and his best bud Norio Yoshida are sent by their home-room teacher to invite the Korean students to a friendly soccer game as a way of restoring the peace.
Trembling like black-uniformed leaves, they enter enemy territory, where Kosuke encounters a doll-faced, but serious-looking girl Kyung-Ja Lee playing a Korean folk song, "Imjin River," on a flute. He and Norio Yoshida are also nearly lynched by her older brother Ang Son Lee and his gang, but he is already smitten -- and eager to learn that haunting tune.

Outrage:
The story begins with Sekiuchi (Kitamura Soichiro), boss of the Sannokai, a huge organized crime syndicate controlling the entire Kanto region, issuing a stern warning to his lieutenant Kato (Miura Tomokazu) and right-hand man Ikemoto (Kunimura Jun), head of the Ikemoto-gumi. Kato orders Ikemoto to bring the unassociated Murase-gumi gang in line, and he immediately passes the task on to his subordinate Otomo (Beat Takeshi), who runs his own crew. The tricky jobs that no-one wants to do always end up in Otomo’s lap.

ALSO! My flatmate JUST recommended this to me!

Watched it about an hour ago so here we go with the review! And I think you'll be partially shocked...

SPOILERS

Rule One: Forget the origins of Shingeki no Kyojin and just take this version for what it is. Once you're in that mindset, I think (just like me) you'll enjoy the second half a LOT more than the first movie! Yes you heard it here for: I enjoyed it!

( the end of the review ) )

---

Overall Rating: 7/10
Overall Thoughts: I enjoyed this one a LOT more than the first one and I knew I would when I saw the trailer at the end of the last film. This was action packed, Hanjo was hilarious, so many gay moments <3 but of course it had it's down, mainly one certain person and that DAMN ending!!!! RAGE! But was an improvement from the first film. I would say if you watched the first then defo invest time in the second film (with the mind set of no comparing it to the anime/manga) but if you didn't see the first and have no real interest or intention to then don't even attemp to watch these two films.

HE DID IT AGAIN!!!

In less than 3 days ANOTHER Live Action film was announced today with Yamazaki!!!!! And it is another of who's anime I have seen and loved!! And once again, it is another male lead with a completely different personality to what he's played before (he might be similar to his L-DK character but that's the only one he's similar to).

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji
Filming is set for December
Release is set for May 2016 (PLEASE BE ON MY BIRTHDAY!)

So look forward to a Watch-a-long in March-ish xD

I've already watched the anime and seriously enjoyed it! It's a bit stereotypical BUT I still enjoyed it.
Also, I'm neutral towards the actress BUT I can't imagine her playing the brat that the character is.

Just a quick post where everyone can say how they're doing so....

How is everyone?

I've noticed everyone has gotten a little quiet lately and figured it was either because A. everyone's gotten really busy, B. people aren't as caught up with AH and DN unlike myself or C. I'm not posting content that's interesting to you. So by all means: tell me everything!!

Howa you?
Whatcha been doing?
Whatcha looking forward to/future plans?

ALSO!

I was thinking of starting a new segment... at the minute I have 'The Last Things I Watched', 'Death Note Discussion' and 'Age Harassment Discussion' segments and I was thinking of adding a 'Fave Doramas/Movie in [Insert Genre]', what does everyone think? If you think it's a good idea, then definitely say and also, let me know which genre I should do first!

Bye bye!!

I’ve been reading Heroine Shikkaku and Orange lately in anticipation of Yamazaki being in both of them and because they’re both being released this year and I thought I’d share my views on what I’ve read so far and how I think Yamazaki will do…

Fistly Heroine Shikkaku – WHICH btw seemingly there are currently cut outs for PRing this movie in most cinemas. So guess what I’m doing on my day off on Tuesday xD

So far I’ve read the first two volumes of this! The character development is very good and it has some seriously funny moments xD I am liking Hatori very much and Rita is still very much a mystery but hopefully we can see more of his side soon, and Kousuke definitely has potential to win over my heart xD

General Plot of the Story:

We follow our main girl, Hatori who is in love with her childhood friend, Rita(Yamazaki) but he decides to date a (what she thinks is a) plain girl and she can’t understand why she isn’t the heroine of his love story because Hatori believes it is her destiny to always be with him and thinks in natural that they would go out. But through her own fault, she never confesses and he begins to date a girl called Adachi. Until she meets someone hotter, Kousuke, who pursues her, and slowly her heart begins to change, but is Rita only just realising his feelings for her now that she is interested in someone that isn’t him? And is Rita’s girlfriend really just as innocent and as nice as she appears?

Manga Spoilers (for first two volumes!):

( 1 ) )

From Manga to Film – My Thoughts:

Now onto Orange!! OMG this manga guys! Holy crap! It’s SO beautiful! I’ve only read one volume of it so far but holy crap, I was trying SO HARD not to cry on the train and during work when I was reading it! xD Seriously, if it’s in English or your native language – READ IT!

General Plot:

Naho receives a letter one day from her future self telling her that she has many regrets which all began during her second year at high school and wishes to change them, but gives her past self the option. So first thing: ‘Set alarm clock the night before – so I’m not late’ Naho oversleeps as was written in the letter. Over the next few days she learns that what the letter says is true and she begins to slowly set the regrets straight. But there is one huge this that her future self really wants to change: the new transfer students life; Naruse Kakeru’s life.

Manga – Spoilers for Volume 1:

From Manga to Film:

And that's all I have for now! So do post lots in the comments below about what you think about these two movies:

Are you excited? What do you think about the casting? Have you read the manga? Do you want to? Everything!

The next two weeks I'm working nights so I get the mornings to catch up on stuff! Which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because I always wake up early in Japan so can get lots of stuff dnone before work. Bad because I ALWAYS wake up early in Japan meaning I'll probs be shattered by the time I finish work at 9pm tonight which means I'll probs miss BUSAIKU -__- but I will carry lots of suger to help me out! Onto the review!

Of course be aware of SPOILERS!

I saw this on opening day ^_^ Before I go into my review, I will warn you: My expectations for this film were very, very low. Also I cannot stand Miura Haruma. But let us get into the details!

( Don't Forget: I'm not a Miura fan! ) )

---

Overall Thoughts: It was better than I expected but remember my expectations were like -50 xD and cannot wait for the second/final installment where it looks like it really is gunna be 180 degrees different to the anime! o_O

22 July 2015 @ 12:32 am

I rewatched two things recently (a drama and a film) and I don't think I've done reviews for either of them so that's great! xD As you can tell again... there is a running theme called 'I cannot get enough of Yamazaki' once again xD

As always beware of major SPOILERS under the cuts and possible spoilers over the cut!

Clone Baby [Japan - 2010] 10/10

I wish there were better posters for this ='[ Also shame that I could only find SD files... just you wait til I can get a hold of Blu-Ray versions in Japan *checks amazon* holy shit there's a photobook!!

But no Blu-Ray ='[ This is a rewatch for me. First watched it back in 2010/2011. Holy crap where do I start with this one?! Does 'I fucking love this dorama so much' count as a good start and a good review? Cos it's true! Matsuzaka <3 Yamazaki <3 I basically rewatched it cos I love this dorama, not seen it in 4/5 years and wanted to see Yamazaki's role <3 Going into it this time, I could not remember the plot or story at all which was great! This dorama is just as confusing the second time as it was the first time! BUT the answers were far more unstandable this time around. It was great also rewatching it after like 300 doramas/movies and going back and being like 'HOMG HOW DID I NOT SPOT YOU THE FIRST TIME AROUND?!' and stuff ^_^ I love the opening/ending songs. Btw, did you know this was shot in Yokohama, that place I just happen to be moving to? And you wanna know why I'm moving to Yokohama? Cos all the doramas are filmed there ALL the time!! xD Clone Baby is no acception <33 Plot, location, acton, story are all amazing! It was great reguessing and trying to figure out what the hell was going on xD Just have tissues prepared seriously! Talking about it makes me wanna rewatch it again already! Please say I'm not the only one who's seen this?!?!?! Definitely be rewatching this again soon xD Also, I need new episodes, an SP, a season 2 and a movie please!!

OMG Galore )

Wood Job [Japan - 2014] 7.5/10

I know Tbscreenrider loves this film! I did enjoy it but I felt it somewhat lacking. It wasn't amazing but was definitely beautiful, funny at points and I loved seeing Sometani, once again, playing a not so serious character =] Sometani <3 Tanaka <3 This film is not blatanly comedic but it has it's moment of gold. Sometani's character is amusing, motivated by basic human instinct xD but I also love the transition and growth he goes through. His boss is hilarious! And I love the village and villagers so much. Sometani's developement with his job is very satisfactory too <3 it helps that I love trees and nature! Only negatives are it was slow but that's easy to overlook, I felt the romance was unncessary and I wouldn't automatically rewatch it. It was a beautiful, nice film! =]

Trees! )

Zettai Reido [Japan - 2010] 5/10

I love Japanese cop/detective shows so naturally, cos this has two seasons and an SP, I had a lot of expectations and unfortaunately it fell flat and sometimes boring, also Ueto Aya -__- Ueto just seems to play the same immature, boring, stupid, bland, faking innocence character in everything she does - so boring! The crimes/mysteries were also very easy to figure out and so it annoyed me that it took the characters so freaking long to figure it out! But I do like the other characters and I like how it was set in an 'unsolved crime' department. Defo not a high standard of detective dorama at all. Ueto's character of figureing the crimes out felt very unrealistic too. I don't think I'll be continuing on this series.

Surprise Guest Star! )

Eien no Bokura Sea Side Blue [Japan - 2015] 7/10

Tbscreenrider already knows my views on this SP but let's get on with it... YAMAZAKI!! <33 KUBOTA!! <33 YAMAZAKI x KOBUTA!! I did not like Yamazaki's hair in this! BUT, his character was seriously the nicest, more perfect guy in this world!! Why can't he be my boyfriend?! Saying cool, mature stuff like you did *dies* <33 Kubota's character was so cute too!! "Ar-arigatou" <33333  And I freaking love the comedian playing Buri-san <3 It was great seeing Kubota play an angry guy - shows his scale as an actor <3 But OMG I cannot stand Tsukamoto Rika -_____- her character was a total dick too! She was such a stupid ass. Bitches be crazie. I felt the choice of music was cheesy and bad but I guess using such English music is cool in Japan but just did not work for me. I felt the romance developed a litle too fast but having said that, there was no indication as to how much time had passed really =/ I felt the story was a little flat but some of the performances were great. Yamazaki needed more screentime though!

Fangirl mind at play... )

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [japan - 2012] 8/10

Another rewatch which I watched last night and it's rating has not changed. I mainly rewatched it cos I didn't noticed Yamazaki in it the first time around and so watched it this time for his sake <3 I did not like his hair when it was tied up though -_- Down it was sexy and the colour was nice too xD was funny seeing him and Matsuzaka back together after being on Clone Baby together. But jesus Matsuzaka's wig was BAD! So glad it went after a while. If that was his real hair all along then damn he needs a new stylist! xD This film was just as good the second time around <3 Enjoyable, cute and great character development also!

---

I am rather tipsy right now, fantasing about Yamazaki and Clone Baby while listening to BackStree Boys and drinking wine xD I hope you enjoyed these reviews! Do let me know if you feel I should hide my reviews completely or if the non-spoiler sections are too spoilery! Also, sorry for lack of screencaptures...

Have you seen any of these? Can we PLEASE fangirl over Clone Baby and Yamazaki?!?!?!!? Where there too many spoilers in my non-spoiler sections?

Here is the movie edition of 'The Last Things I Watched'!! And today I have 6/7 Japanese films to discuss with you! All of which I think I watched this past week! o_O Now that tells you a lot about my current lifestyle o_O BUT, I was in the mood to marathon loads and so, that's what I did! Let's crack on...

Aku no Kyoten [Japan - 2012] 8.5/10

( Movies Galore! ) )

They are the movies which I think I've watched in the past 7/8 days! o_O Still in the red on my laptop and still only have 29gb left on it, so can't get any more films for now =[ Think I need to marathon some KAT-TUN to get some space xDD
