1. Dorama starting January 20th on TX (Channel) ”三匹のおっさん3～正義の味方、みたび” which roughly translates to "Three Old Men Season 3: On Justice's Side" and he will be playing Iwashita Shingo as a guest role in Episode One. Official Website is here. Look how cute he is xD:

2. Dorama starting from February 19th. It's a Nihon TV x Wowow x Hulu crossover production (so will probably air on all three platforms) "Zenigata Keibu" / "Inspector Zenigata". He'll be in episode 1 and 2 as Tominaga Yuuichi. Official Website is here. This one actually looks and sounds REALLY good so I might watch this entirely xD No promo pics or anything out yet =[

Hey guys! Here are the ten things (doramas/movies) I feel I HAVE to watch this year! I also did this last year, so let's do a mini wrap up first! The original post is here.

Last year I had a total of 10 doramas and movies I wanted to get through and the ones I did successfully watch and complete were:

- Joker Game
- ToQger
- Vancouver no Asahi

I found out that I had already previously WATCHED two things that were on my list which were Galileo and Arakawa Under the Bridge Movie so I could cross those off as soon as I started them, I was like 'I'VE SEEN THIS!!! NOOO!' xD

Unfortunately I didn't get to Giam but I am so close to starting it. I also unfortunately didn't get to the newest Jinroh Game because I never go to the rental shop which is the only place I can get it (it's not popular enough to be put up on the internet I don't think) and it is a shame I didn't get to Kagi no Kakatta Heya which I have no excuse for; it's only an SP so I really could get through it easily because SPs are normally just an hour! Silly Alex...

Finally, I completely forgot and pretty much lost interest in Freeter, Ie wo Kau and Kisarazu Cat's Eye and I have no intention of getting to them anytime soon.

So I technically got through 50% of my list so... success?? Nah it's not a success because I really am upset I didn't get to Giam or Kagi no Kakatta Heya....

Hey guys!! Here I am with a fun list!! It's always great to look back on a year and talk about things that really got me crazy and obsessed and fangirling hard. There are going to be quite a few lists, and some may seem like I'm cheating, but lets enjoy!!

1. Top 5 Anime

- Hakuouki - this one broke my heart and ripped it up and I loved every minute of it and I already want to rewatch it!
- K: Return of Kings - this one gets here because of how surprising it was! I didn't like the first season and the movie didn't make any sense but this second season of K blew me away and I enjoyed it so much and it's made me a K fan now xD
- Yuri on Ice - everyone freaking loved this this past season! It was so much funa nd so juicy and the romance was great and the animation quality itself was awesome and the international coverage and attention it got too was amazing! Give me a second season now!!
- Touken Ranbu Hanamaru - I love Touken Ranbu; I loved this anime; I need more. TOUKEN RANBU!! <3
- Yowamushi Pedal - another that blew me away this year and I am so obsessed with it now! Even if you're not a fan of sports anime - because I still don't think I am - just give this a try for 4 episodes at least. The characters are great, story is good, the comedy is wonderful, I so enjoyed this!


2. Top 5 3 Books

- Elantris and Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson - I love Sanderson's work so these are automatics.
- The Martian by Andy Weir - it was my first hard science book but it was accessible and very funny too and I very enjoyed the progression of the book and it's just a very good read! It's better than the movie ;)


3. Top 5 Movies

- Pink to Grey - this was visually beautiful and clevel, I loved the plot, the way they shot it was amazing, the acting was flawless, that change part way through the film is still mindblowing to me and Nakajima proved himself as an actor in this. Also Suda Masaki will always be flawless in his performances.
- Creepy - this one scared me at the cinema but in a thriller and mystery and brain-tension way. I still vividlly remember this. And even though I may never watch it again. I was definitely enterained and this is DARK and something I think people will enjoy if you like dark, crime, mysteries that have a lot of silent scariness and you like films that make you think.
- Article 9 - this was a film I went for because of the actors and actually turned out to be a topic of something I know very well about and I really enjoyed the way they created this movie. It gave a lot of good for and against arguments and I really enjoyed seeing everyone have their own opinions and it's just a great film to make you think about some real world topics such as politics and how we should defend ourselves and own country. Also this has Aramaki/Maki-Chan in so <3 the more I think about it too, ths more I really liked the ending.
- Vancounver no Asahi
- Joker Game - of course Kamenashi is going to be on this damn list! I finally watched his two films that I've been dying to see for years and I enjoyed both of them and I wasn't disapponted so of course they're going to be here!

4. Top 5 Doramas

- Kaitou Yamaneko - again Kamenashi Kazuya, this dorama was amazing and funny and enteraining and I need a season two and lets all take a second to mourn the fact that Narimiya has left the entertainment industry =[ he's definitely a loss to the industry and as always he was just as amazing in this as everything else he's ever done!
- ToQger - this one guys.... I was so against watching it for so long and when I finally did? I was in love and I was so obsessed I watched it at work and I cried my eyes out and it's definitely a Sentai favourite of mine now!
- Watashi ha Kekkon Dekinai janakute, Shinai - this one was so good! I really enjoyed watching it AND subbing it with everyone!
- Shitamachi Rocket - this one was one I had on hold for years and I finally watched it and I honestly didn't think I'd like it but damn I got so invested and I found it fascinating, and I love how the story developed and I also loved the relationship between two of the guys and I liked the MC and his daughter's relationship and how that progressed. It was good!
- Sunao ni Narenakute - this one is a little hazy in my mind but I do remember really enjoying it and the characters and I remember there was a lot of character journies and developments in this and I also watched it alongside my friend so we could fangirl about it together and Eita proved himself as an actor as always. This one I have a fond, warm, glowing memory of.

5. Top 5 10 Actors (including stage actors)

*This is more like 'who's in my top 10' rather than a 'who in 2016 is new/impressed me'. Basically these actors I've seen/watched regularly and I'm never disappointed by them and/or they keep impressing me and/or I thoroughly enjoy whatever they make that I see.

I did this watch a long with a twitter (and now LJ) friend of mine! The deadline was for today but I enjoyed it so much that I finished it over a week ago! So let's get onto the review!


Synopsis: This is a story about the blossoming friendship of five young people who were brought together by Twitter, and their journey to finding honesty with each other and with themselves.


Non-Spoiler Thoughts: I LOVED this! From episode one I was hooked! The themes brought up in the dorama are serious, not mocked and ultimately handled VERY well. I also love the fact that it's like 'even though we're in our mid-20s, well can still enjoy life like we're teenagers'. The music is probably the most problematic - it's during the early 2000s where they used western music rather than their own music and the music's lyrics and meaning doesn't fit the dorama at all! BUT the actual dorama soundtrack was good and felt VERY familiar, pretty sure it's used in a lot of TV shows cos it was not the first time I've heard the OST.

Besides that, the story was amazing, the comedy was great, the themed discussed and dealt with where realistic and great, the ending was mostly satisfactory and the characters and the acting was solid!

This was so good, so entertaining, so funny, interesting, heartbreaking. It touches ALL the emotions perfectly!

My favourite character was probably Nakaji - he was so cute (and very attractive! It's the first time I've ever been physically attracted to him!). And I shipped Doctor x Haru, Nakaji x Haru, Linda x Nakaji, Linda x Peach SO hard! I also really liked the parents' story line that happened too. However, I feel we didn't get enough development with Haru's brother's storyline (WHO by the way is Nakamura Yuichi from D-Boys! You can tell it's him straight away xD)

I have finally decided what I will definitely watch this season! There were over 16 things on my previous Winter 2016 post, and I've narrowed it down!




1. All the SPs. Each SP is no more than 3 hours so I can get through those in one day (as in one episode for one day) ^_^ So Obochan, Detective Ballerina, Damashi Banashi, Jungle Fever, Jossei Sakka etc.



2. YamaNeko - this one was obvious no? xD The first episode was SO good!



3. Hiruma Hideo no Suiri - Because I've seen captures and it looks so good! And I need more Kubota in my life <3



4. Watashi wo Hanasanaide - Yes I hate Miura BUT I love Ayase and I've not seen her in ages! So this <3 Also it's based on a worldwide British/Japanese novelist's book which I really wanna read too.
5. KRGhost, SSNinninger and SSZyuoger - these are year long shows so naturall I'm going to continue them.
6. Konoudori - I can finally finish all the shows I had to put on hold last season and I'm going to start with this one! After this will either be Angel Heart or Downtown Rocket.

So in total that'll be (at the most) 7 doramas that I'm watching at one time. That's just about copeable xD

If I have ANY other time, I also wanna get through JunJun's Sentai Ressha series ^_^ Funnily enough if a SS or KR series is already complete, it only takes me about two weeks to get through all the episodes.

As for anime I'm going to limit myself to two winter series' and one need to catch up and/or finish, so I've decided:



1. Sushi Police - how does this NOT interest you?!



2. Prince of Stride - I need more sports anime in my life xD



3. Jormungand - This is the first series I've decided to move from my 'On Hold" (it's embarassing how many I have there) to 'Watching'.

And that is my life! So in total I'll be watching 10 things at one time but luckily most of them are airing and all of different days so SHOULD be copable... we'll see xD

There are many others that I loved throughout the year (Bakuman, Tatakau! Shoten Girl, Siren etc) but these are definitely my top ten! I hope it's easy to see why, but by all means do let me know if you ended up hating one of these and why! xD

Honourable Mention:
- The Lovers (9/10) - this is a Korean dorama so obviously would never be on my top ten list. But this drama was so realistic and I felt it really showed what real relationships are like. It was heartbreaking, it was funny. I adored every episode <3

Most Disappointing of the Year:
- Galaxy Kaidoh
- Second Love
- Age Harassment

Do I need to explain these?

Actor of the Year?
I got (re)obsessed with SO many actors this year and just had weeks of marathoning their stuff. But the one that's stuck with me all year is obvious:


Yamazaki Kento.

It's that time ofyear again! I think I've set more realistic goals this year so fingers crossed I can complete them! ^_^

1. Watch 100 Doramas/SP/Movies (with 60% being doramas)
2. Read 50 books
3. Finish JLPT N2 - as in complete the textbooks, NOT take the test!
4. Finish or Drop my 'On Hold' list - seriously my anime 'on hold' list is long and stressing me out!
5. Go to a KAT-TUN concert - bring on this spring!
6. Be able to do greetings and daily routine in Korean - Used to be able to do it so hopefully this'll just be revision for me.
7. Save for New Zealand 2017!
8. No ReWatches! - I am not allowing myself to rewatch something if I've watched it after 2012.
9. Keep To Do list to 10 items only - you'll see my hell in another post xD
10. Finish writing a damn novel!
11. Keep up with Reviews - all types of reviews!
12. Stay active - dancing, stretching, splits etc.

Overall Thoughts: This drama is crazy as fuuuu. It's so jaw dropping and so astonishing that you can't help but either be turn on or shocked from the perviness! This is definitely NOT for those who feel uncomfortable with sexual things because omg everything happens and all the boobs and all the hentai - it's glorious! This dorama is a great oppotunirty for Taishi as it shows him pushing away and showing he can A. seriously act, B. can act in a different genre and C. proves and shows he's growing into a man. I really liked his performance. But, the ending... it definitely needs an SP or a film or a second season or something! But that ending... not good... This is highly entertaining, highly sexy while it's not the best thing produced, but like I said; definitely wins entertainment points!!

Overall Thoughts: Y'know exactly what you're getting into when you see a drama like this. Tears upon tears upon tears. But what I didn't expect for it to be SO positive! While it's a seriously upsetting and dark topic, they way the characters strive to stay positive is really so uplifting and beautiful!
It was also great seeing such an unconventional Japanese family dynamic which was both refreshing (once again Japan is showing it's seriously changing recently in terms of what society deem as appropriate) and encouraging as well as heart warming and beautiful.
It was great to see Karina and Yusuke back on the big screen (funnily enough their first dorama back AFTER having major scandles separely each xD). I shipped their two characters together SO HARD <3 Having Tomo as a guest was brilliant! I really love the theme song too!
The end had some questionable twist but I can forgive it. BUT the one thing I cannot forgive is how unhelpful the fiance was whereas Yusuke was ALWAYS there!
But yes a beautiful but heartbreaking story with amazing characters and great acting and a beautiful soundtrack/theme song <3

Finally gotten around to reviewing the Autumn Dramas I watched this season!! And here is the first one: SIREN!

Firstly, Matsuzaka Tori is back in full force this last half of the year and I love it!!

Overall Thoughts: Great soundtrack, great theme song, great story, great plot, great acting, the characters were very questionable but in a good way because they were all so deep and interesting and left me wondering about their motives and everything! Also, some amazingly sexy moments, amazing chemistry between Tori and Kimura and sexy Tori is always welcome <3
The ending felt rushed and it definitely needed a tenth episod, because some of the logic and 'time' in the last mystery/reveal is a little questionable, but omg it didn't half keep me guessing ALL the way up to the very last moment! This was a dorama that surprised me if I'm perfectly honest. I love Tori and I've recently had an interest in Kimura because of Mother Game recently but for some reason I didn't expect much of it. I didn't expect ANYTHING from this dorama at all, but it ended up being one of the ONLY three dramas I decided to continue watching when my doramas were overwhelming me, which proves how great this story was and how much it kept me interested.

Overall Rating: 8/10

It finishes next week but OMG!!!

Every episode I'm either yelling 'OMG!!!' at the ridiculous situations they're geting into. OR I'm being (strangely and pervetly) turn on by it!

Honestly Nakagawa Taishi REALLY has grown up! I can't help but find many of his shot so sexy!!

This is really his 'I've grown up' statement role and I am loving EVERY minute of it! <3
