This is another top five request I got tonight! Before we start; I haven’t seen the stages; I might be influenced by how-actors-look-as-the-characters (did that make sense?) regardless of not seeing the stages (yet); I do play the game but I don’t do the stories or listen to the voice tracks etc; I tend to only have two types = the cute ones // the ‘pretend I’m tough when really I’m squishy”; this is almost basically LOOKS based xD ready?

1. Hidaka Hokuto - this reminds me a lot of Yamanbagiri Kunihiro from Touken Ranbu, and we ALL know how much I love him!! Hokuto definitely has the looks I always go for, and I have actually listened to his sound bites and everything and I LIKE them! <3 he can treat me like that all day xD pretending to be tough... he really isn’t! I definitely wanna cuddle him xD although he’ll probably tell me to stop it but won’t physically stop me xD I know Ikkei plays him in the stage and to be honest I’m a little worried he might ruin my image of Hokouto for me >.< BUT if he plays him anything like his character in AoHaruTetsu (as in the cool part of him, bot the ridiculous part of him) then I’ll be happy!


2. Kanzaki Souma - THIS guy’s look! THIS is everything I want; purple long hair, samurai-ness going on, usually (in my game at least) in a kimono and his phrases are always fighting or katana focused <3 also I REALLY like the actor who plays him in the stage! Higuchi Yuta <3 He’s SO cute!! I’m actually relieved I actually like the character as well because I fell for Higuchi first THEN started the Ensemble game. I wonder how he lays him in the stage... AND he has a beautiful name! Kanzaki <3


3. Sengoku Shinobu - he’s in a sentai band (I’m a HUGE geek for sentai!), has purple hair (I loooove purple!) AND when he laughs or is embarrassed it’s the CUTEST, most heartwarming thing in the world! <3 everytime he cracks a smile my heart melts <3 ANNNDDD Fukazawa Taiga plays him in the stage!!!! I fereaking LOVE Fukazawa! He’s SOOOO CUTE!!! Seriously, watch the YowaMushi Dorama, he’s the PERFECT Naruko!! And follow his twitter! He’s so CUTE!!!! Let me squish him all day please!! Okay I’m cal now...


4. Himemiya Tori - as already stated above, I love cute boys and this one is certainly the cutest in the game! He’s smol and pink haired and cute!! He’s even cuter when he’s angry or trying to be mean xD I just want him as my cute son that I can show off in front of everyone <3 BUUUUT I am still SUPER worried about the stage version of him. As soon as the actor announced I wasn’t happy with who they cast, and I still don’t like the look of him in the character, also seeing the type of pics he takes with the cast is not how I imagine Himemiya to be! =[ BUT I will try to cast it aside when I do (eventually) see the play but as of right now, I’m pretty worried about his performance.


5. Shino Hajime - This one is kind recent but still fits in with my ‘I like cute boys’ type xD he’s so delicate and we should treat him like precious angel xD he’s cute and his voice is so soft and he’s so caring but also needs confidence and worries a lot ^_^ AND KEITA PLAYS HIM IN THE STAGE! And I have no doubt he’ll do a great and faithful performance and can’t wait to see it! ALSO! Have you SEEN this character when he is embarrassed in the game?! It’s so cute!!! Okay I’ll stop with the cute.

Hey guys!! Here I am with a fun list!! It's always great to look back on a year and talk about things that really got me crazy and obsessed and fangirling hard. There are going to be quite a few lists, and some may seem like I'm cheating, but lets enjoy!!

1. Top 5 Anime

- Hakuouki - this one broke my heart and ripped it up and I loved every minute of it and I already want to rewatch it!
- K: Return of Kings - this one gets here because of how surprising it was! I didn't like the first season and the movie didn't make any sense but this second season of K blew me away and I enjoyed it so much and it's made me a K fan now xD
- Yuri on Ice - everyone freaking loved this this past season! It was so much funa nd so juicy and the romance was great and the animation quality itself was awesome and the international coverage and attention it got too was amazing! Give me a second season now!!
- Touken Ranbu Hanamaru - I love Touken Ranbu; I loved this anime; I need more. TOUKEN RANBU!! <3
- Yowamushi Pedal - another that blew me away this year and I am so obsessed with it now! Even if you're not a fan of sports anime - because I still don't think I am - just give this a try for 4 episodes at least. The characters are great, story is good, the comedy is wonderful, I so enjoyed this!


2. Top 5 3 Books

- Elantris and Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson - I love Sanderson's work so these are automatics.
- The Martian by Andy Weir - it was my first hard science book but it was accessible and very funny too and I very enjoyed the progression of the book and it's just a very good read! It's better than the movie ;)


3. Top 5 Movies

- Pink to Grey - this was visually beautiful and clevel, I loved the plot, the way they shot it was amazing, the acting was flawless, that change part way through the film is still mindblowing to me and Nakajima proved himself as an actor in this. Also Suda Masaki will always be flawless in his performances.
- Creepy - this one scared me at the cinema but in a thriller and mystery and brain-tension way. I still vividlly remember this. And even though I may never watch it again. I was definitely enterained and this is DARK and something I think people will enjoy if you like dark, crime, mysteries that have a lot of silent scariness and you like films that make you think.
- Article 9 - this was a film I went for because of the actors and actually turned out to be a topic of something I know very well about and I really enjoyed the way they created this movie. It gave a lot of good for and against arguments and I really enjoyed seeing everyone have their own opinions and it's just a great film to make you think about some real world topics such as politics and how we should defend ourselves and own country. Also this has Aramaki/Maki-Chan in so <3 the more I think about it too, ths more I really liked the ending.
- Vancounver no Asahi
- Joker Game - of course Kamenashi is going to be on this damn list! I finally watched his two films that I've been dying to see for years and I enjoyed both of them and I wasn't disapponted so of course they're going to be here!

4. Top 5 Doramas

- Kaitou Yamaneko - again Kamenashi Kazuya, this dorama was amazing and funny and enteraining and I need a season two and lets all take a second to mourn the fact that Narimiya has left the entertainment industry =[ he's definitely a loss to the industry and as always he was just as amazing in this as everything else he's ever done!
- ToQger - this one guys.... I was so against watching it for so long and when I finally did? I was in love and I was so obsessed I watched it at work and I cried my eyes out and it's definitely a Sentai favourite of mine now!
- Watashi ha Kekkon Dekinai janakute, Shinai - this one was so good! I really enjoyed watching it AND subbing it with everyone!
- Shitamachi Rocket - this one was one I had on hold for years and I finally watched it and I honestly didn't think I'd like it but damn I got so invested and I found it fascinating, and I love how the story developed and I also loved the relationship between two of the guys and I liked the MC and his daughter's relationship and how that progressed. It was good!
- Sunao ni Narenakute - this one is a little hazy in my mind but I do remember really enjoying it and the characters and I remember there was a lot of character journies and developments in this and I also watched it alongside my friend so we could fangirl about it together and Eita proved himself as an actor as always. This one I have a fond, warm, glowing memory of.

5. Top 5 10 Actors (including stage actors)

*This is more like 'who's in my top 10' rather than a 'who in 2016 is new/impressed me'. Basically these actors I've seen/watched regularly and I'm never disappointed by them and/or they keep impressing me and/or I thoroughly enjoy whatever they make that I see.

I really don't think I'll finish anything else dorama or movie related between now and tomorrow which is the last day of 2016 xD but I do I'll try and 'edit' it in here xD

I watched this yesterday! And I was very apprehensive going into it because my friends Tina and Josie had watched it the weekend before and told me that they do so many stunts and that my anxiety is going to go haywire. They were in fact 100% right. I was in anxiety hell the entire time BUT I also super enjoyed myself and (unfortunately for the actor's health) I wanted to see them do more of the sport. But we're already jumped ahead so let's go back to the very beginning which is the story.

Story

Prince of Stride is a game but also an anime (only 12 episodes) that aired in 2015. The first Episode/Stage leans more towards the game's story BUT you can still follow it if you only watched the anime like I did.

I really liked the story in this Episode and I enjoyed how much comedy they added into this compared to the anime! It was very funny and I was laughing hard a lot of time and even giggling quietly during other parts because something would amuse me. I paid a lot of attention to characters in the background rather than whoever was taking the main stage at the time because it was far more interesting and you saw more character development that way in my opinion.

Episode One of the stage covers character introductions, reviving the Stride club, their trial race at their school, and versus Mihashi, we also got the whole idol performance and Saisei meeting too. There were a few new scenes I think but now I can't remember exactly.

Theatre

I was super lucky to get 5th row and I was smack in the middle so I missed out on the boys running byside me -- they used the entire spare space in the theatre as their spaces to run. BUT then again I had no one to the right of me at all and there was a big gap between me and the two girls on the left so technically they DID run past me xD I was shocked though that 5th row was that empty yet everything behind me was full! What happened to the people who got such good seats at the front?! Moving on...

OH! AND I went on filming day!

Music and Opening

The music leading up to the show starting was really good! Totally got me in the mood for running and in the mood to watch this epic sports show. FYI Stride is not a real sport but I so wish it was! It's a combination of relay running and parkour << how amazing does that sound! And the actors have been training and learning Parkour for over 9 months in preparation to not fuck up or hurt themselves during these shows, which I'm very thankful for but it didn't ease my anxiety!



Also speaking of the music they used the anime song for the opening and the ending - check it out here! << who doesn't feel like running at full speed when they hear this?! It's so pumpy and great! Which made me flail inside so hard! The opening scene itself is impressive because they're ALL running around the stage doing parkour during the opening (with that song!) and it's more fascinating and mezmerising than it is worrying in a way. There's SO many of them and so much going on that you just want them to keep doing the opening scene over and over so you can see what each actor/character does xD and I cried okay! I cried at the freaking opening! Just the whole using this song and I really like the anime and seeing this hectic but entertaining opening and seeing Izaki as Riku, it was all a bit too much for me and I cried - I have no shame! xD

Staging and Functions

The stage itself by the way is CRAZY. They have three BIG apparatuses at the back of the stage which have a gap between them so they can jump between them. Then we have some smaller and different types apparatuses that come on and off the stage throughout the play such as steps and ones with slanted handrails as well as a few pummel horses (gymnastic apparatus).

I want to give HUGE props to all the POS (Prince of Stride) team who were constantly shifting the apparatuses every few seconds so it looked like the boys really were traveling over the city to the different locations. They had to move so fast and so in time or else the boys, who would be running AROUND the theatre to give the staff time to change it around in seconds, wouldn't be able to slow down or edit the choreography really. And once they had finished moving the apparatus they would have to hide under them and hold them in place! That's absolutely crazy and takes talent, power and perfect timing to pull such a thing off! Amazing.

The Sport

I really really really do wish Stride was a real sport! It looks so epic! Can you imagine them doing this at the olympics or something! I understand it's difficult to close roads and stuff, especially in Japan for sports events and it probably has a high injury risk than most sports but omg this would be epic! And I want to be a part of it!!

Even when I saw the anime for the first time I was like: I WANT THIS TO BE REAL!!! And I want to do it!! << I think this mindset is what helped my anxiety while watching it; it was impressive and I was too busy thinking 'damn why isn't this real and why can't I do it' to be worried about them hurting themselves but I was pretty shook up after that one guy fell << explained later.

Also I feel like, because the Epsiode 4 final venue hasn't been announced yet, they should do what they did for Tenimyu Sport Events and finish it off by doing an actual course around an arena. I know this would be very strenuous on their health and would probably mean they'd have to rev up their exercise scheme but like I want more! I want to see them really do stride! Not just running around a theatre. A proper course for them to run around is what I want. I don't need ANY dialogue or ANY story in episode 4, I just wanna see them do an actual stride race in an arena xD

SO I ended up with 12 so what! I'm sure this ranking is NOT set but currently I'm really feeling Kuga from the anime and I'm super all about Jin's Takeru in the stage. Riku used to be my first but after rewatching the anime and seeing the stage, he's now a bit too childish for my liking.

Sho-san from TokiEnta (the company MakiChan is part off and TokiEnta is like my LIFE atm. As a company I love them!) went and watched it the day before me!! He's in the same company as Kishimoto who plays Heath <3

Overall: This was super fun! I was a fan of the anime, I fangirled hard when it got announced as a stage and I was not disappointed! It was so much fun and the stunts were great and the coordination between staff, cast and timing was awesome! Naturally seeing them run acorss the stage and jumping over giant apparatuses my poor heart and anxiety was high BUT luckily it was more than impressive enough to make me even consider watching the second episode full of anxiety too xD Aoki Jin was the biggest surprise for me ^_^

SO!  That is a total of 6 (7 possible) TV shows and 8 anime which comes to a rather large-ish total of 15 shows that I will watch this season!

These are the shows that have peaked my interest for the summer season!

It's that time again when all the new, shiny things are starting!! Just like last time I'll list what I am hoping and want to see through out the season (full list and inital interests here). So lets get cracking!!


1. Watashi Kekkon dekinai janakute, Shinai desu - Well this was an obvious choice from the start so no need to explain myself here ^_^



2. Good Partner - Seriously that has me SO intreged and I've not seen a legal dorama since Legal High. I'm expecting it to be part serious, part comedy so we'll see!



3. Seirei no Moribito - This is is seemingly only 4 episodes a year for the next 4 YEARS! So I'll wail til season one is completed (cos it finishes in two weeks!) and possibly watch the first season. But I really don't like the idea of having to wait 4 years to get the full story... seemingly this was an anime too?



4. Dias Police - but ONLY if I have time. This is going to be more of a 'back-up' if one of the other dramas really don't mesh with me.
5. KR Ghost, SS Zyuohger, SS Tokyuuger, KR Amazons - Ghost is nearly up to where I want it to be before I start marathoning through it, so hopefully before May I'll be back on attempting to watch it (even though I've already been majorly spoiled for March 27th's episode!). I started Tokyuuger during the winter season and I am in LOVE with it! I cannot get enough but I'm taking my time because I don't want it to be over. But seriously, it's SO good! Zyuohger is proving to be interesting too but this stull has like 40 episodes to go - defo not complaining though! If I finish Tokyuuger this season then I'm gunna move onto KR Gaim. It's like the only other Toku I've not seen that's come out in recent years.

Now the anime... I've been in a HUGE anime mood recently so first we'll look at what I'm already currently watching (there's 4) before looking at the newcomers for this season:




6. One Piece [Episode 670 onwards~] - I haven't watched any for like 2 years so I was about 50 episodes behind when finally picked this back up recently. I've actually cried a few times. Seriously, Cora-san had me BROKEN UP!! So yeah One Piece this time around is affecting me more and I'm enjoying it more.



7. Hunter x Hunter [40-ish onwards ~] - another I took a 2 year break from and continued off from episode... I wanna say 40-something. This is definitely one I HAVE to be in the mood for (OP I can basically watch whatever mood I'm in) so I'm watching this at a slower pace but I've just gotten onto the Greed Island arc and loving it so far! Episode 64 as of March 30th.



8. Fairy Tail - I have tickets for the stage play so obviously I gotta do my 'homework' for it. Seemingly the stage story will take place from the anime episode 52. I'm currently on episode 33 so should be able to get through the necessary arc before I see the stage! I have to say, I'm really enjoying FT! I was worried it'd just be a OP rip off but it's very different and I love the characters and I cannot wait and can totally picture Ono, Shuuto and Shira-chan as Loke, Natsu and Grey <3



9. Prince of Tennis - I know! I'm finally WATCHING this even though I've been watching the stages for YEARS! Unfortunately this one is taking me the longest to watch. I am definitely preferring the stages to the anime but I think that's mainly cos the anime is such low quality xD Right now I'm on about episode 10 (yeah not far in at all right! But I do rotate between these four anime so one episode per go and I've only been watching POT for about a week). I have to saw; seeing Kaidoh with an orange bandana is weird as hell! xD



10. Joker Game - I am ONLY allowing myself to watch this ONCE I've FINALLY watched Kamenashi's Joker Game movie. I have been putting off BOTH his 2015 movies for too long! I am excited to see the anime of it though - yes I already know I'm gunna like these.



11. Ace Attorney - my sister is a HUGE AA fan and I've played a little of the game and I've seen the movie and I wanna see how well it transitions from a game to an anime. And it probably will translate well because they make anime out of games ALL the time xD



12. I'm Sakamoto? - The synopsis actually doesn't give much away but I am expecting (and hoping) it's a comedy about just how ridiculous this guy is ^_^ If you've read the manga, let me know!



As for all my 'On-Hold' stuff: I am NOT making any promises. I am SO swamped enough, right? I have enough anime episodes, doramas coming up, I watch a new movie at the cinema almost every Monday AND I'm still VERY behind on my stage reviews. On top of that I've been marathoning the GANTZ manga (380-odd chapters by the way) cos I've been 'reading' it for like 4 years already and in the middle of two books and *dies* I really do have enough on my plate entertainment wise at the minute so all my On-Hold stuff is STAYING on hold and I'm gunna make it a rule to not start ANYTHING new on ANY platform of entertainment until most of my shit is done ^_^ sound good?

Overall: Entertaining, suspensful, mysterious (it's especially mysterious if you're not very logical and don't pick up on the hints about the murderer), and I could not stop watching! There are some moments that seem very stupid and illogical but pushing that aside, I loved this so much and the ending is amazing! Also Satoru x Kenya! <3

Overall: I enjoyed every minute of this and I love the concept of the sport and really wish it was a real sport! I enjoyed the characters and the races (the animation is also amazing!) and I need more!

One final one I want to mention is Sushi Police. I got about 3 episodes into the anime before dropping it. I didn't like the animation, I didn't like how it was set in America and the conept itself was interesting but wasn't executed well in my opinion. The shorter animes tend to not be that great anyway. So I stopped watching it.

As you can see it was a lot of 'I'm going to see these plays so better get my research done' anime and luckily I ended up loving both the anime and the plays! Psst. The play reviews WILL come - I'm just so STUCK on writing the Orphans review and I will not let myself continue on with the other til I've finished Orphans!

I have finally decided what I will definitely watch this season! There were over 16 things on my previous Winter 2016 post, and I've narrowed it down!




1. All the SPs. Each SP is no more than 3 hours so I can get through those in one day (as in one episode for one day) ^_^ So Obochan, Detective Ballerina, Damashi Banashi, Jungle Fever, Jossei Sakka etc.



2. YamaNeko - this one was obvious no? xD The first episode was SO good!



3. Hiruma Hideo no Suiri - Because I've seen captures and it looks so good! And I need more Kubota in my life <3



4. Watashi wo Hanasanaide - Yes I hate Miura BUT I love Ayase and I've not seen her in ages! So this <3 Also it's based on a worldwide British/Japanese novelist's book which I really wanna read too.
5. KRGhost, SSNinninger and SSZyuoger - these are year long shows so naturall I'm going to continue them.
6. Konoudori - I can finally finish all the shows I had to put on hold last season and I'm going to start with this one! After this will either be Angel Heart or Downtown Rocket.

So in total that'll be (at the most) 7 doramas that I'm watching at one time. That's just about copeable xD

If I have ANY other time, I also wanna get through JunJun's Sentai Ressha series ^_^ Funnily enough if a SS or KR series is already complete, it only takes me about two weeks to get through all the episodes.

As for anime I'm going to limit myself to two winter series' and one need to catch up and/or finish, so I've decided:



1. Sushi Police - how does this NOT interest you?!



2. Prince of Stride - I need more sports anime in my life xD



3. Jormungand - This is the first series I've decided to move from my 'On Hold" (it's embarassing how many I have there) to 'Watching'.

And that is my life! So in total I'll be watching 10 things at one time but luckily most of them are airing and all of different days so SHOULD be copable... we'll see xD

It's that time ofyear again! I think I've set more realistic goals this year so fingers crossed I can complete them! ^_^

1. Watch 100 Doramas/SP/Movies (with 60% being doramas)
2. Read 50 books
3. Finish JLPT N2 - as in complete the textbooks, NOT take the test!
4. Finish or Drop my 'On Hold' list - seriously my anime 'on hold' list is long and stressing me out!
5. Go to a KAT-TUN concert - bring on this spring!
6. Be able to do greetings and daily routine in Korean - Used to be able to do it so hopefully this'll just be revision for me.
7. Save for New Zealand 2017!
8. No ReWatches! - I am not allowing myself to rewatch something if I've watched it after 2012.
9. Keep To Do list to 10 items only - you'll see my hell in another post xD
10. Finish writing a damn novel!
11. Keep up with Reviews - all types of reviews!
12. Stay active - dancing, stretching, splits etc.

And that is my list!! I think I enjoy making goals rather than completing them xD

So I only watched 4 anime this season (and I dropped one of those half way through), so here are my three anime reviews! (I didn't wanna do seperate posts because they weren't mind blowing)...




High School Star Musical 8/10

This was definitely a guilty pleasure and a surprise! I've never been interested in the whole 'singing, dancing, idol' anime before and this was my first taste of it and OMG I loved it! The story was great, the characters were adorable, it was a really nice, enjoyable read and I love all the songs they did!! ^_^ I need a season 2 cos it ended kinda sad =[ Also it's an original work so there's no manga or anything to keep me entertained while I wait for the second season! I demand a play!! xD

Owari no Seraph 2: The Battle of Nagoya 7/10

This show... the first season was SO good but this season... the first half of this season was boring as fuck! Nothing was happening, there was a lot of talking and then in the lat 4 or so episodes it got crazy and the final episode has left with a thousand more questions than what it started with! May need to start reading the manga. I didn't like how this season took a complete turn and there were just TOO many new characters and not enough development or time spent on them and Yu and Mika's dynamic was just a mess at times. It was bad for the most part but the battle at the end and the reveals kinda make up for the boring, talking, no actions episodes that happened at the beginning. Least it didn't turn into a second season of boringness and nonsense like Tokyo Ghoul R did....

Shingeki no Kyoujin: Chuugakkou 7/10

This was SO cute!!! It was very funny, very cute, I love how it made the Kyojin more about stealing food rather than eating humans. Levi was hilarious in this. I loved Armin too <3 everyone was cute and the whole 'middle school romance' was cute too!! It's not Shingeki at all! It just happens to have the same characters but the setting and plot are different and they use the gears to clean rather than kil Kyojin xD This was very entertaining but too short! xD


I also watched One Punch Man but dropped it. It just bored me... sorry!
