Donten in Warau [7/10]
I finally watched this after having it on hold for like a year. I originally saw the first two episodes before putting it on hold but I did go back and rewatch them all anyway. Thinking back, I think I've given this a higher rating than I should have. I remember being overall disappointed with this anime after hearing great things about it and me being personally excited to watch it. I do remember liking the twist with one of the brothers but overall it was very predictable and there was a lot of nothing happening episodes at a time. Visually it was beautiful and it had a strong start and end and the twist was nice but overall, I remember finishing it very meh and unemotional and unexcited by it. I wanted much more from this. Looking at my notes; I also comment on the fact that I felt a lot of character development was lacking and that I need more, especially from the side characters. I assume others will enjoy it more than me but it didn't give me what I wanted.

HatsuKoi Monster [7/10]
I watched this because MakiChan (Aramaki Yoshihiko) announced he's doing the stage play of this next year - and he's the main lead and it's his first main lead(!!!) - so naturally I had to marathon this and understand the story. BUT turns out, the stage (legally) cannot follow this anime at all xD so a little pointless of me watching it. Commenting on the anime itself; this is crazy! The plot is literally about a high school girl dating an elementary kid - yes it's that fucked up(!) and yes it completely makes sense why it's crazy. The best thing about this is definitely the characters, especially all the male ones; they're adorable and silly and funny! I was definitely in love with Kouta - he's so adorable!!! But I didn't like how focused the jokes were on him being a virgin - being a virgin is not a big deal and it's not a bad thing so I didn't like how they pulled him to pieces just because he's a uni kid who's a virigin. The main girl is silly and stupid so didn't really pay attention to her. The other female characters on the other hand were interesting! Another character I loved was Kazuo because I'm a sucker for dark but totally cute and small boys (remember my love in Diabolik Lovers? Exact same character type as Kazuo! <3) And I loved the fact that we had Arashi who is dating one of the girls but she's totally cool with the fact he's a huge fanboy of girly-looking boys and that she lets him and he's free to go about his obsession at a healthy distance <3 and they're both very secure about their relationship and even say that 'she knows I love her' and 'I know he loves me' even though he has this odd fetish/fandom/obsession going on xD This was super mental but also super cute. If you want a weird but enjoyable, although slightly morally and legally questionable, anime then this is for you! ^_^

Free Eternal Summer 7/10
I finally watched this baby after loving the first season which I watched a long time ago! I really liked the ending to this anime and felt it was very satisfactory and fitting for the characters and I couldn't think of a better way to end it. The gayness between them all was still there which was naturally enjoyable and I really liked the new character we got which was Ai-Chan and from memory, I remember he's very popular among the fans xD The second season is a slow start and a hit/miss at the beginning but as the season progresses the story gets stronger and the character development is great and like I said, the ending was fitting. I was naturally emotional, as I usually am, and so I did cry a few times.

Yowamushi Pedal Season 1, Season 2 (Grande Road) and Spare Bike [10/10, 9/10, 8/10]
Oh my god you guys! This series is absolutely amazing! This is so addictive! It's THAT addictive I was watching it at work any chance I got, and using up my data and racking up my phone bill because I just had to continue watching it! I watched the first two seasons in about 3 to 5 days! And I already want to rewatch it! I started this because I had just finished watching the dorama at the time and I decided that I should watch the anime before starting the stage series and I do not regret it! Seriously... I can't with this series! I don't even consider myself a sports anime fan but this one SUCKED. ME. IN. The story is amazing, the characters are AMAZING and so individual and I can vividly remember all the character distinctly. While the second season dragged a little (we literally follow ONE race for 24 episodes) and that's why it's a 9 instead of a 10, I still sat there loving every moment and I was an absolute wreck a few times and would just cry for WHOLE episodes! You can bet your ass I am going to watch the shit out of season three when it starts next month!!!! I am very much in love with MakiChan (yes there is a MakiChan in this!! xD) and Arakita and Naruko and Imaizumi is great and even the freaking RIVAL and ENEMY I ended up really liking too! Seriously, y'all need to at least try it!!!

Prince of Stride (ReWatch) 8/10
If you read my POS Stage review you'll know I rewatched this in preparation for watching the stage and I am very glad I rewatched it! I remember enjoying it the first time around but I also remember not watching it properly... as I had completely forgotten everyone's characteristics and personalities so this was a great refresher for me where I actually paid complete attention to it.
Once again I enjoyed this anime a lot and it was great to relearn the story and get to know the characters again and this time I was super surprised that my character ranking completely changed; I always thought I was for Riku being my number one but by the time I'd finished the anime this time around he is/was now way down on my list and I'm all about the side characters more like Banchan and Kyosuke and Rei etc. and I do hope a second season comes out soon!
Turns out I'd completely forgotten everyone backstories except the girls so rewatching this time I started off pissed at Kuga because of what he does because I'd forgotten the truth about his actions. And I completely forgot about the fact Takeru and Riku WERE friends years ago. So many things this time I picked up on and relearned and reremembered etc. So glad I rewatched this xD
I cried this time around just as I did the first time around xD
There's a lot of debate around this anime/game as to whether it's a reverse-harem/otome or if it's a sports anime/game. I've seen both sides of the debate and I personally feel it's a sports anime but not as hardcore as say... Haikyuu or YowaMushi.

Renai Aru Aru SP 7/10
I decided to finally go through my harddrive after neglecting it for over a year and I have a SHIT ton of stuff still on there to watch, so I started with this one. I was pleasantly surprised by this. I'm not a fan of Kuroki Meisa at all but I do enjoy Erika Toda and I guess Sasaki Nozomi is cute xD This is an SP of 3 20 minutes episode and each girl has a different love story to tell. The first is Love in the Work Place, second is Love with a Single Mother and the last one is Living Together before Marriage Relationship. I have to say; I cried at the second story with Sasaki Nozomi and Chiba Yudai! It was so pure and precious and I really enjoy the positivity and themes that were brought up in that one. The other two stories were still enjoyable but were still very old with Japanese thinking. For example in the first one the guy asks the girl to quit her job when he marries her; why is this option still being shoved on women in 2015?! And in the last one it was very much a 'cohabitating before marriage still isn't natural!' type of mindset but luckily it's positive enough that we can overlook that. The weakest was story one and I loved story two the most. They were partially funny, partially serious and I liked the themes and discussions they each brought to the table. Decent if you want a quick romantic fix.

Minna, Esper Da Yo SP 1/10
I really regret watching this. I remember enjoying the series and with my OCD I knew I had to watch this before seeing the movie but... I don't remember TV series being such a soft-porno. This SP is literally just soft-porn and it made me a little uncomfortable. I can't even tell you what the plot was in this one. All it was was women dressed in underwear trying to seduce the boys with toy cars and jelly type blocks that made sex-like noises. It was ridiculous and pointless and I hated it. I don't even want to watch the film now.

Vancouver no Asahi 8/10
Yes I finally watched this and it was so good! I knew I'd enjoy it and I did! I had already studied the Asahi baseball team for my Japanese studies final in university so I knew what I was going to watch and I knew the history. I really, really enjoyed this! It was nice not only seeing the baseball teams progression and seing them grow, but we also got family drama in there too and of course we had the World War popping in now and again to ruin their peaceful lives. Also, this is probably strange but I could related with some of the racism that went on in this movie. Yes I am a white girl which makes me 'privilaged' in the western world, but a white girl in Japan? When I walk down the street I get the exact same 'people stop to stare' or 'continue to follow me with their eyes as I walk down the street' which is exactly what happened in this movie when the Japanese are walking through the streets of White Canadian majority. It was so weird how I could see those scenes and be like 'holy crap that's what people in Japan do now to white people!' granted it's probably more out of curiousity than out of racism and hate for people like me, but the fact that it does still happen is what really made me relate. I almost posted something on twitter about it so I could culture alert my Japanese twitter followers a bit but as I said, I understand it happens to me just because I'm not a common look in Japan rather than it actually being born from racism.
Another thing I loved was hearing Kame speak English!! <3 granted it's a very heavily Japanese accented type but damn he did whole sentences with it and he sounded great! There was one scene in particular where he says something in English and I had to laugh because his pronunciation sounded VERY Manchester-eqsue to me << I'm originally from North England and my town is only about 20 minutes away from Manchester! I knew Tsumabuki learnt English and is rather (if memory serves me correctly) fluent in it so his English didn't really impress or stand out to me AND we all know I'm Kame bias so I had to clap when he spoke instead xD
Ikematsu Sousuke was ALSO in this <3
I also liked how it showed both the racist side of Canada but also the friendly side of Canada; there are some people and families who are very nice and welcoming towards the Japanese in this and it was nice not to be completely bogged down by the racism. Also the sportsmanship between the Canadian teams and the Japanese team was superb! I really love how their relationship thanks to the game changed as well.
Unfortunately I didn't like the ending; I understand this movie is supposed to follow Asahi's story and they did right by ending it where they did but, they end the story JUST as the Japanese get shipped off the Canadian Labour Camps, I wanted to see the next stage because in the Labour Camps the Japanese continued the create baseball grounds and teams even though they were confind to these tiny concentration camp-esque places and I felt that part is also important to show. But like I said, this story is about Asahi and the members being seperated is where Asahi's story ends but I personally wanted to see the NEXT part where baseball is still in their lives even though they're all apart.
I enjoyed this, I think if you have some spare time then you should watch it. I'm Kame biased so of course I recommend you all watch it xD

64 Part 1 and Part 2 [Both 7/10]
I watched this back to back while I was RATHER drunk on my first plane home (I somehow managed to get shitfaced within the first hour of being on the plane and only off a glass of wine xD) so I don't really remember where the first half ended and the second half began. I will admit it took me a while to get into the story. The beginning was very interesting where a kidnapping and murder take place but the murderer is never found and then 14 years later the police try one last time, before the statue of limitations come, to figure it out. There's a lot of 'oh I can't tell you that' every time the policeman finds out a KEY thing and when he asks people involved in the case that's the only answer they keep giving him. In the second part we have a copycat kidnapping of the murderer's daughter which I think was clever and I like how the figured out who the murderer was, but it kind of show cased how useless the Japanese police are because it was the father of the originally killed girl who figures it out and sets it all up to catch the guy! It's a solid production and parts of it were great but I feel a lot was either useless or boring.
The acting was naturally very good because of how strong this cast is! Also I felt the pacing of the story was very good and the development was pretty decent. The feel and cinematography was great and it was very real and gritty and had a dark look to it which matched the themes perfectly.
There's also the PR/media section of the police force who go on strike randomly because the police won't give them information such as names and addresses of the people involved in cases and I personally agree that witnesses and victims and such's information, especially addresses, SHOULD be kept quiet within the police. I really couldn't understand the press's whole strike of 'you must be transparent with us and tell us everything you know asap. Don't leave us in the dark' I personally didn't get it. And was like a waste of 40 minutes or more of the film. In fact it was so ridiculous I ended up laughing through those scenes rather than taking them seriously. Because during the 2002 kidnapping ONE policeman from section 2 is constantly running back and forth between the press room and the police department, trying to get information and every time the press ask for more so he runs off again to the police and it happened about 5 times in one 20minute sequence and I found it absolutely hilarious at A. how incompetant the policeman was B. how much of a weakling and a pushover the policeman was and C. how the press were just not satisfied with even the smallest information. The fact that the press can FORCE information out of the POLICE once again shows how incompetant the police are and I really feel that people in charge of the LAW really shouldn't be that easily pushed around the freaking nosey bastards that call themselves the press.
Anyway... as you can see it's definitely a movie series that brings up some key themes and discussions and questions. I hope someone else watches it so I can share me views with them!

The Kodai Family [8/10]
I am so glad I finally got to watch this and I enjoyed this! I love Ayase Haruka, always have and always will; she's so cute and she was just as cute as ever in this! She plays a girl who is very much in her brain and her fantasies and daydreams are very relatable and very creative and I love how we had this mix of reality and day dream scenes <3 I also love the romance in this; totally cute and seeing the main guy open up to her and have this 'he only ever smiles when he's with you' theme throughout the movie which is adorable too! I like how there's this implied mixed-race family and how they all have blue (contacts) eyes to show that and I love how we got flashbacks of their grandparents' romance too! But I do wish they'd stop using Charlotte for everything; she's not the only white actress in Japan you know! I get she got famous from last year but like... you could use so many other people << you could even use me!! << just saying... I feel she's already been overused, especially when there's this wide range of mix-race and fully-white actresses and talents in the Japanese entertainment industry BUT I also understand that the industry LOVES to overused and reuse the same actress and actor over and over again for like a full 2years and it's like their 'peak' moment. I think Matsuzaka Tori has been the only one who's successfully revitalised his peak this past year so or after his inital peak in 2010-ish. Anyway back to the movie!
The comedy is great in this and as I sai; it's sooo cute! But I want to take time to talk about the other two siblings who are the sidecharacters. The sister played by Mizuhara Kiko (who is someone I do love. Yes a rare actress I actually like!) who is so cute and DAMN she looks SO fine with long hair! She really should grow it out in real life! Her character was so sweet but at the same time was very strong while also having her own romance issues throughout the movie. I really love how much she supports Ayase's character when she felt she had no confidence and their girly friendship was so great!
And then we have the sweetheart which is the brother played by Mamiya Shotarou <3 I love this boy! Always have and probably always will and he always gives a great performance and I love his character's development in this movie. We slowly see him bully this one girl and then realises that he's doing it because he really really likes her and seeing his character realise that and accept it and everything; it was sooooo good! And of course he's totally gorgeous <3 Look at him! Btw if you wanna see his acting in full swing I highly recommend Litchi Hikari Club movie << it's definitely not a movie for everyone because it's very explicit, very natzi-esque and very violent BUT his performance of the character is so believable and amazing!
Look at this sexy sexy talented boy! <3

Oh shit I'm older than him?!?!? What the actual fuck... I thought he was 25/26ish! =O
