2017.01.20 Todoufuken Puzzle

*Todoufuken means ‘Prefectures of Japan’ So basically: The Prefecture Puzzle which is rather fitting.

I went to see my first play of the year about two weeks ago! (Technically my first play cos Touken Ranbu LV doesn’t count because I wasn’t in the theatre in person xD)

NON SPOILER:

Overall: It was nice and enjoyable with a serious over-tone and random comedy moments that hit really well - oh did I mention it was short?! Only 70mins!! I'm not used to that xD It was a quick interesting, thoughtful stage and I cannot wait to see JP’s next work obviously xD

Rating: 6/10

SPOILERS:

It was Yasukawa Junpei’s play and I went into it knowing nothing except, judging on the ticket price, it was a small production. And I was right; the audience was practically all kankeishas except like me and 8 other people xD There was probably a total of 40 or 50 people in the audience so yeah, SUPER intimate and the staff were nice and it wasn’t even seat coded! So I chose second row and to the side which was luckily the side JP usually stayed on! Let’s get on with the story:

( JP and Ikemen! ) )

---

I doubt there's a DVD of this so just assume this is the best English review of this stage you're ever gunna get.

---

PS. Apologies if this feels rushed or there’s lots of mispellings. I did have a perfectly nice review but then my pc crashed and I lost it all so out of stress and anger you’re getting the shittier version.

2016.03.09 Dance with Devils Review! [Izaki Version]

I stood out in the cold and rain for TWO hours to see this baby and oh boy, oh boy! It was so worth it!

Long story short: It was amazing!!! xD Not satisfied? Okay we'll talk about it in full now...

First thing's first, the stage follows the anime very faithfully in terms of the main plot and everyone's relationships and everything so I ain't gunna waste time doing that, BUT we did have some nice new original character editions like Izaki's character who play's Rem's butler/teacher who never appeared in the anime and Izaki did amazing - but more on that later.

( Another long one I didn't expect to write xD ) )

Overall: This was amazing! I had such fun and I squealed that they sang the anime songs and I love how Ritsuka was protrayed and I think the new editions such as Izaki's characer were wonderful and Izaki did an amazing job anyway. Of course this is where I fell for JP! And I seriously hope they do a second one << they DID announce one but no new info since they said 'they'll be another'. So much sexiness in this too! ^_^

2016.06.07 Mata Aou to Ryoma ha Ita Review!

I watched this on Tuesday and it was the black version so the main cast was Jinnai Sho and not Mitsuya Ryo.

ryoma

I went into this play expecting it to be serious and dark because A. it's about Sakamoto Ryoma so you'd assume it'd be a historical and about his life and B. I've never watched a Caramel Box productions but because they have a lot of older actors, I expected them to do more serious roles.

Oh boy I was wrong!

This was hilarious!!

( Longer than expected xD ) )

---

Overall: I got the complete opposite of what I was expecting and I enjoyed it SO much! While watching it, I was reminded just how amazing D-Boys are and just how much I love them <3 Wish I had the time and money to see the WHITE version. The story is actually really simple and stupid but once you include the comedy and the action, it's really enjoyable!
Rating: 7/10

I asked a few questions in this post so incase you forgot, or in case you only read the non-spoiler review: Can you let me know of roles and productions where:
- MaeChan's played a darker, rougher role without a hint of femininity
- Mitsuya's played a non-cute role
- Yamada's played something other than a salary man who's set in his ways and is thus annoying.

Litche☆Hikari Club Review!

And here we have my second stage review of the week! Enjoy!! (Btw, this picture above was taken at the cafe at the theater, they had a Litche themed cafe menu and everything!)

But yes, lets get talking about this big boy!!

( This was epic and came with an added bonus ) )

Overall:: I fucking loved this! I ate it up, spat it out and ate it again! It was so good!!! This version is SO much better than the 2013 version!! I have to say, making it into a musical? Best. Decision. Ever! The dances, the songs, the music were ALL phenominal! It was SO good! IkeP's character <3 I originally thought he'd be Jaibo and tbh, I think he's suit the role perfectly, but he performed amazingly at Zua (I think that's how you pronounce his name) and he was so cute and his singing was great and omg his dancing was just WOW! <3 Zera's actor was just spot on and omg his freak out scene was beautiful! I wanted to see it again! But I had fucking plans 26th and 27th -_- so coudln't... GRRR!!! But my friends damn well heard me complaints xD

Naturally I've already preordered the DVD xD
