I stood out in the cold and rain for TWO hours to see this baby and oh boy, oh boy! It was so worth it!
Long story short: It was amazing!!! xD Not satisfied? Okay we'll talk about it in full now...
First thing's first, the stage follows the anime very faithfully in terms of the main plot and everyone's relationships and everything so I ain't gunna waste time doing that, BUT we did have some nice new original character editions like Izaki's character who play's Rem's butler/teacher who never appeared in the anime and Izaki did amazing - but more on that later.
They sang ALL the anime songs and I was going mental mentally. --> I fangirled so hard inside!!! <3 and naturally my favourite song with Shiki's <3 JP's voice is high but it also has this softness to it which I like. His voice definitely suited what was needed for Shiki <3 But the best voices were defo the priest (who I now know months later is Noritsuki Kouhei who was Kevin in Makai Ouji and will be in BuriMyu I think! AND he's in the new Club Slazy that's... next month?) and Naito/Loewen <3 I was so impressed with their voices <3
Oh thing I definitely wanna congratulate the team on, was how they dealt with the character for Ritsuka. I like how they used the audience as if we were Ritsuka and the actors would directly talk to us as if we were hear. And if she WAS on stage; she was on stage briefly, never speaking and was more of dancing role WHO turns out to be a guy, WHO turns out to be the wonderful Miura Hiroki who is just a babe <3 A note I wrote at the time: Wait Ritsuka was actually a guy?! No wonder she didn't flinch when Urie accidentally touched her chest during one of the scenes! xD Miura's SO cute and I've been lucky to coincidentally see everything he's done so far and so I will continue to keep an eye on him.HYOTEI!
Rem was Rem. He was a perfect Rem! But damn he wore those GOD AWFUL shoes that I hated in the anime - yeah they made their appearance in the musical -___ I really do hate them. Rem played a MUCH smaller role I think in the musical. I felt like it was more even as to how much screen time everyone got. Loewen defo got more stage time than he gets in the anime.
Rindo walked past me twice!! He's so tall and beautiful (and it was AFTER watching this that I learnt he was Tokacchi in ToQger! Which is like one of my top Sentai shows now!). I did find a negative though; I wish there'd been more scenes and time for when Rindo when went dark though, but maybe it was a bit too much what with everything going on? I just felt it kinda came and went a bit too fast. Also I couldn't help but think that Youchan could do Lindo!! So it's a shame he already left the entertainment world but Hiramaki Jin did a wonderful job anyway! But I think it would've been an interesting role for Youchan to do. Rindo was another character who's very main in the anime but like Rem, took a little seat back in this musical so it was more fair between the actors. Also the incest role pretty much got cut out and we didn't get to see a lot of his exocist badground BUT I did like his interactions with the priest!
Sorry I don't have much to say on Urie and Mage =/ I didn't really pay attention to them BUT Urie was beautiful as expected from his character xD and Mage's solo was great - it's probs one of my fav solos. He definitely played the attitude off well and everything ^_^
As you might be able to tell; Shiki is defo my fav!!! And also JP duh! This is where he caught my interest (but turn out I'd already seen him on stage last August at DLive in Ayakashi!) and I intend to keep an eye on him especially cos he left his company in March so I'm a little worried if he'll stay independant or what... He's currently in Fukuoka actually... but anyway! SHIKI! Poor Shiki!!! He's always getting pushed around!!! For example, when he grabbed Urie's rose and then he's like (to Mage) 'ahhhh!!! Ahhh!!! *pointing to his hand having grabbed the thorns*' and Mage started yelling then they pushed him xD so funny!!! But I do feel sorry for him, but then you gotta remember he's like... crazy as fuuuuu. He's defo not right in the head. Which I quite like; how the demon's are rather ritcheous yet the angel is the craziest and most blood thirsty xD Too right demons are better! But Shiki <3 he was defo sexy during his solo <3 SHIKI!!!
I also love how they did Loewen's role with a bit of it being Loewen as his dog form - which Izaki threw so many times in the air xD and the dog noises would come out and it was funny - and then the other times it was just Naito creeping around and they might have dog noises to be like 'yeah he's currently in his dog form but you'll see his true form' ^_^ and of course Shiki treated the dog badly xD I quite like how Naito walked around at Loewen, he had this like swurvy creep about him which helped his characters sneakiness and everything. Also there's one scene where Loewen tries to get Ritsuka to follow him into this place and the door, seriously looked like the eye of sauron xD I was giggling to myself.
And he walked past me and omg he is a dream!!! His contacts really do stand out when he's close to you! I was like 'ahhhh Naito!!!' xD also Rindo walked past and was like "Do you have dog food?" to the girls in front of me! XD
OHHH!! Now are you ready for the big chunk? Here we go!! IZAKI!!!! As previously mentioned Izaki's character was an original made for the musical (so far as I'm aware) and I loved him!
I was worried he was only in the first ten mins and that's it but he eventually came back out which made me happy. And in the beginning when Izaki and Rindo (or was it Rem? correct me if I'm wrong!) were playing Janken and he loses and he started laughing and it felt kinda real and geniune XD and (spoiler obviously which is different from the anime >>) I loved the plot twist of the priest being in on getting to Ritsuka and how he had taken control of Izaki, but turned out Izaki was pretending to be on the vampires side! And switched at the last moment! <3 Also when Izaki and co were talking about Rindo and Rindo was right there listening in!!! xD
I love how Izaki was totally for Rindo and Urie xD Like his character could not stop touching them xD I think that makes Izaki's character a human then right? Or else he wouldn't be so obligated to do what they say and he wouldn't fawn over them so much right? Just like the high schoolers that guested in this; Those three students were so funny! and when one of the students started undressing cos a demon told him to... omg! xD also when Shiki was like 'you're in space' and the student was hallucinating and said 'space is big' XD
Final note on Izaki (cos I can't praise him enough it seems xD) during the big battle scene was so funny XD he was completely hopeless and was running away and kicking the bad guys and at one point he even used one of the bad guys hands as a weapon instead of taking the knife from his hand!!! xD His character really was perfect and so entertaining! Yeah I can't really tell you what anyone else was doing during the battle scene cos I was only looking at Izaki during it xD
Now we have JEK! I much prefer Jek's character in the musical compared to the anime (he like goes missing for like 8 episodes in the anime and is suddenly this important person at the end - wtf?!). He seems to get more development in the stage and he's like kept as the main bad guy. I loved when the dancers came out during Jek's first solo song! Also omg can we just mention the whole crotch being obvious thing?! Like omg.... also, I loved his hidden costume as well!!!! It was rather sexy and looked so good on him!! ^_^ he's very sexy in general... Also Jek and Rindo's duet at the end was SO sexy and Rindo was trying to not join in xD and of course all the girls were wooing!!! Omg so good!! And they did all their solos and omg! <33 In the encore/end when they walked past and Jek starred me right in the eye and did the gun bang thing - woooo!!!!
Random point: I can't remember who but one of them did the hand gag xD << if you've been in Japan or are familiar with Japanese comedy, you'll know which one I mean.
OMG they changed the ending!!! This was the biggest difference and surprise! but I liked it!! In this she picked being an Akuma at the end!!! OMG!!! Which I think I prefer the stage ending and I think that's why they changed it, cos the ending in the anime was just too sad. Like she choose to stay as a human and so all the demonds and angels had to like get out of her life! That's no fun!

Overall: This was amazing! I had such fun and I squealed that they sang the anime songs and I love how Ritsuka was protrayed and I think the new editions such as Izaki's characer were wonderful and Izaki did an amazing job anyway. Of course this is where I fell for JP! And I seriously hope they do a second one << they DID announce one but no new info since they said 'they'll be another'. So much sexiness in this too! ^_^
