I saw this one last Monday and it’s supposed to be a historical/comedy.

Official Site here.
Trailer here. << I normally don’t watch trailers and I usually hate how spoilery trailers are these days but this one manipulates what to expect very well xD
Teaser here. In case you wanna no real explanation

Synopsis:

This is a historical comedy where Ayase Haruka’s character goes to Kyoto to meet her boyfriend’s family, but the hotel she booked at says she’s booked in for the month after and that they’re completely full for the duration of her stay, leaving her with no where to stay. So she wanders the streets of Kyoto until she comes upon the hotel ‘Honnouji Hotel’ which has a room available for her. And thus shenanigans ensure where when she takes the elevator she ends up in Honnouji Temple 1582 June 21st (the day before Honnouji no Hen), rather than the 6th floor of the hotel.

NON SPOILER:

This was actually genuinely funny. I know Japan sometimes labels stuff as comedy but no one ends up laughing because it tends to be really off beat comedy but this movie was ACTUALLY funny. We were all wetting ourselves in the cinema and in fact I was laughing to most (which says a lot if a foreigner is finding the comedy more enjoyable and totally understandable compared to the rest of the Japanese population in the cinema xD that or they laugh a LOT quieter than I do xD) I do admit, I’m a BIG laughter when a joke gets to me which this movie did on several occasions. I really enjoyed the story too and how the time traveling worked. The characters were all amusing and had their traits and when you take the comedy away, the story itself holds up very well. Also, if you know anything about Honnouji no Hen (which this is centered around) then you’ll completely understand me when I say; from the mid-point I did nothing but cry. I was in such streams of tears! I think I was the only one to be honest but for some reason I have this HUGE emotional connection to Oda Nobunaga and just his story and history at this point in time; I was so heartbroken for the rest of the film. I was a crying wreck but not in a bad way. I highly recommend this film; it’s historical, it’s fun, it’s funny and (if you’re like me) sweet, emotional and touching. Bittersweet almost actually.

Rating: 8/10

Okay I'm done xD

----

I really don't think I'll finish anything else dorama or movie related between now and tomorrow which is the last day of 2016 xD but I do I'll try and 'edit' it in here xD

Have you seen any of these? Any you want to see? Lets discuss below!! ^_^

aikokanzaki
It's that time again when all the new, shiny things are starting!! Just like last time I'll list what I am hoping and want to see through out the season (full list and inital interests here). So lets get cracking!!

[ Winter 2016 / Spring 2016 / Summer 2016 / Autumn 2016]

1. Watashi Kekkon dekinai janakute, Shinai desu - Well this was an obvious choice from the start so no need to explain myself here ^_^

2. Good Partner - Seriously that has me SO intreged and I've not seen a legal dorama since Legal High. I'm expecting it to be part serious, part comedy so we'll see!

3. Seirei no Moribito - This is is seemingly only 4 episodes a year for the next 4 YEARS! So I'll wail til season one is completed (cos it finishes in two weeks!) and possibly watch the first season. But I really don't like the idea of having to wait 4 years to get the full story... seemingly this was an anime too?

4. Dias Police - but ONLY if I have time. This is going to be more of a 'back-up' if one of the other dramas really don't mesh with me.
5. KR Ghost, SS Zyuohger, SS Tokyuuger, KR Amazons - Ghost is nearly up to where I want it to be before I start marathoning through it, so hopefully before May I'll be back on attempting to watch it (even though I've already been majorly spoiled for March 27th's episode!). I started Tokyuuger during the winter season and I am in LOVE with it! I cannot get enough but I'm taking my time because I don't want it to be over. But seriously, it's SO good! Zyuohger is proving to be interesting too but this stull has like 40 episodes to go - defo not complaining though! If I finish Tokyuuger this season then I'm gunna move onto KR Gaim. It's like the only other Toku I've not seen that's come out in recent years.

Now the anime... I've been in a HUGE anime mood recently so first we'll look at what I'm already currently watching (there's 4) before looking at the newcomers for this season:

One Piece main image

6. One Piece [Episode 670 onwards~] - I haven't watched any for like 2 years so I was about 50 episodes behind when finally picked this back up recently. I've actually cried a few times. Seriously, Cora-san had me BROKEN UP!! So yeah One Piece this time around is affecting me more and I'm enjoying it more.

Hunter x Hunter (2011) main image

7. Hunter x Hunter [40-ish onwards ~] - another I took a 2 year break from and continued off from episode... I wanna say 40-something. This is definitely one I HAVE to be in the mood for (OP I can basically watch whatever mood I'm in) so I'm watching this at a slower pace but I've just gotten onto the Greed Island arc and loving it so far! Episode 64 as of March 30th.

Fairy Tail main image

8. Fairy Tail - I have tickets for the stage play so obviously I gotta do my 'homework' for it. Seemingly the stage story will take place from the anime episode 52. I'm currently on episode 33 so should be able to get through the necessary arc before I see the stage! I have to say, I'm really enjoying FT! I was worried it'd just be a OP rip off but it's very different and I love the characters and I cannot wait and can totally picture Ono, Shuuto and Shira-chan as Loke, Natsu and Grey <3

Prince of Tennis main image

9. Prince of Tennis - I know! I'm finally WATCHING this even though I've been watching the stages for YEARS! Unfortunately this one is taking me the longest to watch. I am definitely preferring the stages to the anime but I think that's mainly cos the anime is such low quality xD Right now I'm on about episode 10 (yeah not far in at all right! But I do rotate between these four anime so one episode per go and I've only been watching POT for about a week). I have to saw; seeing Kaidoh with an orange bandana is weird as hell! xD

Joker Game main image

10. Joker Game - I am ONLY allowing myself to watch this ONCE I've FINALLY watched Kamenashi's Joker Game movie. I have been putting off BOTH his 2015 movies for too long! I am excited to see the anime of it though - yes I already know I'm gunna like these.

Ace Attorney main image

11. Ace Attorney - my sister is a HUGE AA fan and I've played a little of the game and I've seen the movie and I wanna see how well it transitions from a game to an anime. And it probably will translate well because they make anime out of games ALL the time xD

Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto main image

12. I'm Sakamoto? - The synopsis actually doesn't give much away but I am expecting (and hoping) it's a comedy about just how ridiculous this guy is ^_^ If you've read the manga, let me know!

As for all my 'On-Hold' stuff: I am NOT making any promises. I am SO swamped enough, right? I have enough anime episodes, doramas coming up, I watch a new movie at the cinema almost every Monday AND I'm still VERY behind on my stage reviews. On top of that I've been marathoning the GANTZ manga (380-odd chapters by the way) cos I've been 'reading' it for like 4 years already and in the middle of two books and *dies* I really do have enough on my plate entertainment wise at the minute so all my On-Hold stuff is STAYING on hold and I'm gunna make it a rule to not start ANYTHING new on ANY platform of entertainment until most of my shit is done ^_^ sound good?

---

And there we have it! My MAHOOSIVE list for Spring 2016 - wish me luck? I need it! xD

What are you watching this season? Let me know below!

This is my third update of this series of the year and also my third update of it in less than a week (I've wrote all three posts in a week but the times they come out might be different)! But I am determined to catch up! As always, everything except the 'Overall' sections are (possibly) full of SPOILERS!

Corpse Party [Japan - 2015  5/10]

( Kids in a HS alone ) )

Overall: Not the best made movie production and quality but I was definitely creeped and freaked out (I am NOT a horror person) and IkeP was just sexy the entire time <3 But that ending was so confusing and hurtful though!

The Liar and His Lover [ Japan - 2013  8/10 ]

( A story about music and struggles ) )

Overall: I definitely needed more Sato x Kubota in this xD but I really enjoyed thiss greatly and I like how it was about music and the darker themes of the music industry, it's a sweet story, amazing voices and a few tears were dropped.

The Magic Hour [ Japan - 2008  9/10 ]

( High praises to no end! ) )

Overall: This was amazing! This is a VERY highly produced and high quality movie with amazing acting and visuals and music and the comedy and the story was so good and entertaining! Amazing cast and acting too! This director knows what he's doing!

Udagawachou de Matteyou [ 2015 - Japan  6/10 ]

( Cuteness! ) )

Overall: This was so cute and I love how Mario's character was just the sweetest and so supportive! I really like the topic they dealt with and I like how they dealt with it. I wish there'd been more time so we could've learnt about the characters more and I wish we'd had more time to develope their relationship, some parts did feel a bit rushed.

PS. Subs for this are not out yet and I'm currently working with those that ARE making the subs.

Senpai to Kanojo [ Japan - 2015  8.5/10 ]

( The pureness! ) )

Overall: Yoshine's face annoys me, it's has a standard Japanese HS romance plot, and the ending let it down but everything else was so cute, so pure, so heartwarming!! I related immensly to the main girl character which enhanced my enjoyement of the film, and JunJun is just so <3333 in it! I enjoyed this a lot!! I already wanna rewatch this.

Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai SP [ Japan - 2015  8.5/10 ]

I thought I'd already revied this on my blog but for some reason I cannot find the post about it at all! Did I fuck up? Oh well here it is coming to you like 4 months late!!

( Too sexy xD ) )

Overall: I loved every moment of this! It's hilarious, ridiculous and all so sexy <3 I love all the characters and the actors in this and it had me squealing like a fangirl a LOT! In a way this plays out every girls fantasy of being outright fought over by two guys xD I found every moment of this and I could not wait to watch me. << I have since watched the film xD

---

And that's 6 more reviews done!! I think I have ONE more batch in this series to do before I've fully caught up so long as I don't watch and finish anything before them xD Let me know all your thoughts, opinions and fangirlings below!

Here is my first Winter 2016 review! I finished this one first so it's only fair! The winter season has officially ended for 90% of the stuff airing ^_^

As always: SPOILERS!

Let's get this piece of shit with it's piece of shit actors out of the way shall we?

( Do not read if you like Miura Haruma or Mizukawa Asami - this review will only hurt you ) )

---

Overall: This dorama is NOT sci-fi, it's NOT dystopian, it's just a depressing love triangle with two actors I dispise and one actress who didn't get a moment to really shine. It's depressing to the core which, while fitting for a winter dorama, it's just ugh... to much. And the main topic or element of the drama enraged me a lot!
Overall Rating: 2/10

I have finally decided what I will definitely watch this season! There were over 16 things on my previous Winter 2016 post, and I've narrowed it down!

1. All the SPs. Each SP is no more than 3 hours so I can get through those in one day (as in one episode for one day) ^_^ So Obochan, Detective Ballerina, Damashi Banashi, Jungle Fever, Jossei Sakka etc.

2. YamaNeko - this one was obvious no? xD The first episode was SO good!

3. Hiruma Hideo no Suiri - Because I've seen captures and it looks so good! And I need more Kubota in my life <3

4. Watashi wo Hanasanaide - Yes I hate Miura BUT I love Ayase and I've not seen her in ages! So this <3 Also it's based on a worldwide British/Japanese novelist's book which I really wanna read too.
5. KRGhost, SSNinninger and SSZyuoger - these are year long shows so naturall I'm going to continue them.
6. Konoudori - I can finally finish all the shows I had to put on hold last season and I'm going to start with this one! After this will either be Angel Heart or Downtown Rocket.

So in total that'll be (at the most) 7 doramas that I'm watching at one time. That's just about copeable xD

If I have ANY other time, I also wanna get through JunJun's Sentai Ressha series ^_^ Funnily enough if a SS or KR series is already complete, it only takes me about two weeks to get through all the episodes.

As for anime I'm going to limit myself to two winter series' and one need to catch up and/or finish, so I've decided:

Sushi Police

1. Sushi Police - how does this NOT interest you?!

Prince of Stride: Alternative main image

2. Prince of Stride - I need more sports anime in my life xD

Jormungand main image

3. Jormungand - This is the first series I've decided to move from my 'On Hold" (it's embarassing how many I have there) to 'Watching'.

And that is my life! So in total I'll be watching 10 things at one time but luckily most of them are airing and all of different days so SHOULD be copable... we'll see xD

What are you watching this winter season?

aikokanzaki
Are you ready for the finale of this series for 2015!! Cannot believe I've been doing these posts for almost a year!! xD

Of course be aware of SPOILERS!

All-Round Appraiser Q: Mona Lisa’s Eye [2014 - Japan] 8.5/10

---

Hakuouki SSL: Sweet School Life [2015 - Japan] 5/10

( Tut Channake ) )

----

---

Seven Days: Monday - Thursday / Friday - Sunday [2015 - 7/10]

So as [livejournal.com profile] tbscreenrider requested I have made a list of (not all but) the doramas upcoming that have my interest. I'll probably make a definite decision of the three (yes I am only allowing myself to watch three per season now so I don't overload with falling behind) I'll watch... well I have one definite so far but... let's get on with it!

So first... here is the MASSIVE list credit

( Short List ) )

Now onto my list of peaked interest dorama!! << that sentence made sense - shhh!!
